While consumer was stopping was rear ended by another vehicle at 30 MPH. Upon impact, front seat collasped, and front airbags did not deploy. The injuries that driver sustained caused a miscarraige of pregnancy. Consumer felt if airbags would have deployed, njuries would not have been so severe.
While driving 40 MPH another vehicle going 50 MPH "t"boned passenger's side. When it hit, air bags failed to deploy. Driver of venture suffered bruises to his heart, shoulder, pelvis & chest and lacerations to knees.
My 1999 chev venture had the bottom suspension frame member that holds the wheel and steering assemblies,on the passenger side fail while diriving. This failure resulted in loss of vehicle control. Some one could be killed if it happens again. No frame should ever brake under normal driving. This vehicle has always been driven within normal operation on the highways. It has never had more than 6 passengers in the vehilce. Their had to be a flaw in the part when it was manufactured or it is a very poor design.
Tl*- the contact owns a 1999 chevrolet ventura. The contact stated that the vehicle hesitates when shifting into second gear. She replaced the transmission, but the failure was still present.also there was a puddle of water on the frontal floor board. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility and a mechanic replaced the heater core. Immediately after the repair the engine overheated. The vehicle was re-inspected in which the mechanic concluded that the head gaskets failed. The vehicle has not been repaired.
