My husband and I purchased a 2004 chevy venture on october 24,2004. It had less than 6,000 miles on it. On september 27,2006, while my husband was driving down the interstate, the van began to serge/ stall. He pulled to the side of the interstate and got out of the van. He noticed smoke coming from the hood and figured that it may have just overheated( no warning lights came on ). He pulled up on the hood and flames shot out at him. He dropped the hood down and within minutes the van was completely inflamed.
Tl* the contact owned a 2004 chevrolet venture. While the contact's vehicle was at a complete stop, it was rear ended by another vehicle traveling approximately 50 MPH. None of the air bags deployed. The contact was pregnant and had to be transported to the hospital via ambulance. A police report was filed. The driver of the other vehicle was intoxicated. There were two passengers who also had to be hospitalized and transported via ambulance. The vehicle was totaled and towed to a junk yard.
Dt: 2004 chevrolet venture mini van. The consumer's vehicle was involved in an accident on october 3, 2005 . Upon impact, side airbags did not deploy. While pulling out the consumer's vehicle was t-boned in the side by the other vehicle. Heard a tire squealing, and held on to the steering wheel when vehicle was hit. The consumer's back and neck were sore, but no one was taken to the hospital. According to the inspector, the van was totaled, and he said that side airbags should have deployed.
When I bought my 2004 chevy venture I loved it, until my passenger was in the car and told me about something being on the windshield.. After taking it to a few glass company's I was told its a defect in the glass it self and that the windshield was the original. I contact chevy and they said they would look into it. It has been 10 months since then and nothing.. The windshield is still in my car and gets very distracting while I am drinving..
February 2009 - beginning of instrument cluster panel failure - gas gauge not functioning. Have documentation at mileage 72,512. Consequence - forced to fill up at every gas purchase and track mileage until time for next fill up for over two years. Never knew for certain how much gas was in the tank - very stressful. November 2010 - continuing cluster panel failure - speedometer malfunctioning until completely out by january 2011.
