What owners wrote

On 9/11/17 my wife was involved in an accident while driving her 2011 ford edge limited with approximately 80,000 miles. A van had cut her off during rush hour traffic on hyw. 635 in farmers branch, tx and she ended up rear ending it. I asked my wife what happened when I arrived at the hospital and the told me that when she went for the brake pedal it went straight to the floor and she heard a "sucking" sound but the car did not stop.

The contact stated while driving 25 MPH and attempting to stop the vehicle, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond, and the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake booster had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired on two separate occasions by the same independent mechanic however, the failure recurred.
