What owners wrote

Rear backup camera can show distorted images or suddenly go dark when engine is running and put into reverse when backing up. Camera image is sporadic. It will sometimes flicker and go out or not engage at all showing either a black or blue screen and saying "rear camera not available". Happens w/o warning. Warmer weather effects it more often than in cold or when foot is applied to the brake. I purchased car brand new from ford dealership and this started happening after warranty was up.

Reported at 65,000 miles, August 2018

Backup camera intermittently goes black and blank. It gives a warning that the camera is not available. Took it to the dealer when it first started happening in 2019, but they wanted over $1000 to fix it. There is a recall for the 2020 with this problem due to an electrical issue. Why is the 2014 not included?
