What owners wrote
I purchased a new 2006 ford f-350 diesel truck from monaco ford in glastonbury, ct. The vehicle now has 52,000 miles and has been in for service twice for lack of power. The service dept at monaco says the problem is that the gas tank is deteriorating & the fuel pump is compromised. I have researched the problem and found numerous complaints from ford owners re: this exact issue. Ford refuses to take responsibility. They insist that the problem is fuel, not their product.
While driving on highway f-350 lost power, shut off and would not restart. Numerous problems with fuel/turbo. Replace turbo injectors, egr valve, ficm, fuel injector, regulator, and high pressure oil pump.
