2016 Ford Fusion lighting problems

Auto headlights delay setting in ford fusion. I took a rental car and ensured the lights were set to automatic. There is a hidden feature in ford fusion where we can set a delay for the lights to turn on. I entered a tunnel which is completely dark and no lights were there inside the tunnel. I could not see anything as the lights didn't turned on. I fortunately met with a small incident but this hidden feature doesn't make any sense. I drove other vehicles where in automatic lights switch on immediately.

This vehicle has had a dead battery 2 times after sitting overnight. No extra power draws we added. The last resulted with the engine light on once it was jump started. The engine code that was on was a p068a ecm/pcm power relay de-energized performance. It will be scheduled to go to the dealership to try to resolve this issue
