What owners wrote
A few complaints as filed, shortened and with personal details removed. The first ones are among the most serious reports for this model year; the rest are typical.
Driving on a damp city road, applied brakes to stop, ABS seemed to not function causing car to slide into the car ahead causing an accident. Accident did not deploy airbags.
Upon entering an intersection, the signal light was green and my car was stuck by a car that ran the red light. My car was hit on the front passenger side and then the other car slammed into my car again.
4th time: engine misses, violent shaking like torque converter is connected, gas pedal not responsive, dash board lights up with a wrench. Owners manual says go to dealer asap. Been to dealer once, they said a transmission reprogramming was necessary. Now it has happened again within 12 days of being "fixed". This is very dangerous when driving at highway speed, or any speed for that matter, and the car dies and shakes and jolts. This has happened at 25 MPH and 50 MPH.
Trunk pops open randomly while driving or parked several times a day. When I shut it, I can hear it clicking sometimes & it pops back open by itself. Other times, it's silent and I think it's ok and it pops back open again. The fob is not on me when this happens, I'm not touching the vehicle at all. It has started since winter began. Please look into this, I found years worth of consumer complaints just doing a simple online search to help me figure this out. Obvious manufacturers flaw.
