On [XXX], I was traveling from Georgia to California in a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT 2.5L Hybrid with approximately 219 miles on the odometer, using cruise control set at 73 mph and in the ECO mode. I'd stopped for gas and upon returning to the highway [XXX]) the vehicle, still using cruise and in ECO mode, experienced an extreme reduction in power and the check engine light illuminated.

On another occasion, while the vehicle was parked for approximately four days, the doors were closed while in Sleep Mode, and none of the exterior lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the battery was not holding a charge, and the battery was replaced.
