I have a little problem. There is a clunking noise coming from the drivetrain. It only happens at the begining of acceleration, if I let offthe gas and then reapply it; it clunks again. I thought that it might be excessive backlash in the rear, but they checked that and said it was up to spec. They (bob thomas ford of hamden ct) said that it was the rear crossmember to the transmission they tightened this up. This helped it a little but not completely. I'm thinking of going to another dealer .

Hard to shift into first gear of neutral from a stopped position on the v6 manual transmission on the 2000 ford mustang, also paint is bubbling and cracking on roof in multiple spots, have seen same problem with paint posted for all models ford from 2000-20005.

Reported at 79,000 miles, March 2009
