I have a 2010 ford ranger. It has 54,000 miles and the heater has stopped working. Apparently the heater in rangers has been a problem for years. They break and they don't repair them because of the mileage. They also charge a fee to find the problem. I know it's electric and I'm not sure if it can cause a fire.

Waited a significant amount of time for ford to respond to the airbag recall but still have no word on replacement parts. Authorized dealer confirmed that there were none available anywhere.
