Traveling down the highway at 75 MPH. All of the sudden the stabilitrak system light went on followed by the truck shuddering and shaking fairly violently followed by the reduced engine power light going on and a very quick reduction in speed to approximately 35-40 MPH. Was able to pull over and tried to figure out what had just happened to a perfectly good running car. Attempted to reset the stabilitrak system using the GM manual page 5-6. No luck.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 GMC yukon denali xl. While driving approximately 45 MPH, all of the instrument panel indicators began to illuminate. The contact stated that the check engine indicator remained illuminated. In addition, the service stability track control indicated off. The contact also stated that the vehicle stalled but was able to restart the vehicle. The failure was recurring. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where ti was diagnosed that the spark plug failed. The vehicle was not repaired.
All the sudden the dashboard started cracking in two places. One is above the steering wheel and the other is by the passenger side airbag on the dash also. It was just in my garage. Not cracked one day and started cracking the next. There was no damage done to the car it just occurred by itself.
My yukon has approximately 45000 miles on it. It has been garaged at all times when not being driven. The dash has cracks that have formed in the skin part of the surface plastic in the area near the passenger side airbag and the hump part above the instrument cluster. When attempting to have it repaired by a high end body shop I was told it would be a waste of time and money because it will do it again. I was told that this is a common problem that has been going on for years on GMC models.
