2007 honda accord. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle fire appears to have started from under front hood. *smd the consumer stated she read where similar honda vehicles were catching on fire due to a defect with the steering hydraulic power steering hose and she believed her vehicle may be in that category.

November 2015 Fire

I had my vehicle serviced at honda of spring dealership in texas. They did a power steering flush. After they were done, they told me my high pressure power steering hose was leaking and had to be replaced. It was not leaking before I had the vehicle serviced. They wanted over $600 to replace the hose. I believe the hose was defective and the flush finished it off. The dealership told me the hose was not recalled for my vehicle VIN number.
