What owners wrote

The 2006 honda was stopped at an intersection with the owner driving and the owners son in the passenger seat. There was a car stopped in front of them. The owners car was hit from behind and pushed into the front car. None of the airbags deployed. Both front seat belts failed causing the driver to impact the steering wheel and the passenger to impact the dashboard. Both driver and passenger went to the emergency room and were diagnosed with chest contusions.

Takata recall: I have had an airbag light on several times. I was told by the dealership it is an inflator code and I will have to pay for a $1,200 repair. On two occasions the seatbelt was replaced. Somedays my light is on, others it is not. There is a recall and there is a technical bulletin but my car is "not impacted" that is untrue. It absolutely is. The vehicle is presenting the same codes as those in these bulletins and recalls and it should be repaired at honda's expense, not mine.
