Tl* the contact owns a 2000 honda cr-v. While driving at approximately 35 MPH, the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle due to an abrupt stop. The air bags deployed with an abnormally loud noise. The air bags burned the contact's skin and deployed with force onto the contact's face. The contact stated that her hearing was impaired causing her to require a hearing aid due to the air bag deployment. The contact required medical attention for the injuries. A police report was filed.
My honda dealer has been unable to replace the defective airbag for more than 150 days from 13 april 2020, when I first asked for a repair appointment. He says the "part is still unavailable." handa sent me NHTSA recall 20v-027 important safety recall notice in march 2020, informing me that the driver front airbag module is defective. In the notice, honda asked for "patience" while they prepared the replacement part.
