The standard qx56 comes with more than adequate room for any size shoe on the accelerator pedal. Less than 10% of the qx models are ordered with the technology package. This package includes a design feature that causes the gas pedal to push back against the operators foot if the radar senses that the vehicle is closing distance too quickly on the vehicle ahead. The mechanical/electrical device that performs this action is mounted to the firewall at the top of the accelerator pedal.
