2015 Jeep Cherokee forward collision avoidance problems

No previous issues with the vehicle until this incident. That morning on my way to work my check engine light came on. I called my husband and he said he would check it out that evening. Got to work fine. When I went to go home from work my car was acting strange. The ac or blower and the radio wouldn’t come on at all until after about 15 minutes of driving.

In the last 3 weeks I start my 2015 jeep cherokee as usual, shortly after driving when trying to accelerate from a stop the battery light comes on and the dash says cannot switch gears unless in park. The car then stalls and I have to shift into park and restart ,the scary issue is that I am sometimes stuck and cant move until I can restart the vehicle. There is only 57,000 miles on this vehicle .
