On behalf of the owner, during frontal impact at 55 MPH or higher, the driver's side air bag did not deploy, causing a fatality to the driver.
Ellen romett, (wife) in an attempt to move our 1995 jeep cherokee grand lmt. Forward in the driveway a few feet, placed the vehicle in drive with her foot on the brake. The vehicle suddenly accelerated forward at high speed through the yard fence, she immediately hit the brake, however the car continued to travel an additional 34 feet and finally came to stop after hitting a large cherry tree.
