2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee electrical system problems

On 3/27/14, my brand new 2014 jeep grand cherokee spontaneously burst into flames and almost got in my face. After smelling and seeing smoke, I pulled over into a dirt parking lot at a business and the dashboard of my new vehicle burst into flames, after I heard a "woosh." a lady from the local business came running out of the business with a fire extinguisher and I was able to shoot it into the holes that were once the heat vents to kill the flames.

Jeep randomly stalls driving on freeway and/or jerks when downshifting. Vehicle also downshifts hard from 8th to 6th gear, all other gear shifts are fine. While driving at 60 MPH vehicle stalled when accelerating to speed up. Vehicle attempted to downshift from 8th gear when stall occurred. Once vehicle was stopped it started back up without issue to destination. It has chugged 5 separate times when downshifting on freeway in the 7 weeks of owning car, this time it completely died.
