What owners wrote
Making left hand turn through 4-way intersection. Car opposite of us also making left hand turn. Our Grand Cherokee collision system thought the two vehicle were going to collide and locked the brakes in the middle of the intersection almost causing a 4 car accident. This is the second time this has happened since purchasing 06/03/23. Driver neck injury sustained. Seeking medical attention. Jeep is currently at the dealership where they are trying to reproduce/diagnose with no success.
The contact leased a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the brakes were inoperable. While driving in a parking lot, the brake pedal was depressed but the vehicle was slow to respond. The ABS, traction control, and brake warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the wiring. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred.
