Jeep liberty, 2010. Left house and drove ~ 100' to the first stop sign and made a full stop. Started to drive away and there was an immediate lurch and thrust of acceleration, with limited and/or loss of steering and/or braking ability. The jeep jumped a curb and struck a pedestrian and mailbox. Causing injury to the person and damage to the car and mailbox.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 jeep liberty. While driving approximately 30 MPH, the contact applied the brakes to avoid a crash but the brakes did not respond and the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle. The contact suffered a black eye, a swollen nose and a bruised right arm due from the impact of the air bag when it deployed. The ambulance reported to the scene but the contact did not seek medical attention. The police reported to the scene and a police report was filed.
During rainy weather, driving the speed limit, the front passenger side tire felt that it was going unstable. Tried controlling the vehicle when it veered towards the right. Lost control of the vehicle and went into a ditch for a almost thirty feet. Was finally able to stop when crashed into a tre. Side airbags deployed but not the front air bag. Injuries to my head, neck and shoulder.
