Driving in stop/go traffic on a rainy night. Fan controller broke causing the fan to shut off, engine overhead, coolant boil off and engine go into limp home mode.
Vehicle is leaking fuel. Took it to the dealership for repair to find out due to a manufacturing error one of the welds rusted thus creating a hole in the top of the fuel tank. Was told this is a very common problem with this vehicle and its twin, the ford edge. Was instructed that the repair cost would be 1800.00 and although it is a common problem due to a manufacturing error, it is not under recall with ford/lincoln.
