I own a 1999 lincoln navigator (ford engine 5.4l dohc) only 52000 miles. The spark plug #4 blow out of the engine while driving on the highway. I've seen many of the ford expedigion and lincoln navigator owners experience this same issue. There is obviously a default with there engine for these models and thus should be recalled.
I was driving up to a red light and was stopping and applied even brake pressure. The vehicle slowed but did not come to a stop. I had plenty of stopping room and the vehicle just slowly drove right into the stopped vehicles. I know how to use ABS brakes and just pressed harder and harder but thje car did not stop.

The police officer stated that the origin of the failure could never be determined because everything was burned to the ground, including the transmission and engine. It was noticed, however, that the fire seemed to have started from the front end.
Tl* the contact owns a 1999 lincoln navigator. The contact stated that the roof leaked water onto the driver side window post and then traveled to the dashboard area. The water caused electrical issues. In addition, the front driver side exterior power door lock could only be accessed manually. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000. The VIN was unavailable.
