New headrests since 2010 are terrible. My neck constantly hurts because I like to sit against the back of my seat, and my head is pushed forward at an angle no matter how I try to adjust the headrests in my cx7. These "safety" regulations are causing me pain and permanent neck issues. These safety regulations need to be revised.
My daughter was driving the cx-7 on the highway and it caught on fire. There was a pop and then smoke and flames. My daughter moved to the left shoulder as soon as she heard the pop and the vehicle engulfed in flames. The vehicle was a total loss. At the time of the incident the vehicle was in great condition. The vehicle was at 94,000 miles. An oil change was completed recently as well as all regular maintenance.
On 4 separate occasions, the brakes failed to stop the car. The last 2 times, the car not only didn't stop but it accelerated. I could have been involved in a couple of very serious accidents. Each time, I was driving on city streets on dry pavement. The last occurrence was on aug 14, 2017, and I tried to stop the car by using the gear shift, but the car didn't stop right away. The dealership is currently working with mazda tech support, but they can't find a cause for this.
