Tl* the contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked the vehicle was on and the transmission shifted out of gear independently. The vehicle then crashed into another parked vehicle while the gear shift lever was stuck in the park position. When the passenger exit the front passenger's side they were struck by the front door as the vehicle rolled. The passenger sustained injuries to the shoulder and left knee.
Tl* the contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. While driving approximately 50 MPH, the contact noticed smoke emitting from the rear of the vehicle. Immediately the vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road where the contact detected the smoke originated from the rear driver's side brake caliper. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer who informed the brake caliper locked which resulted to the heated tire rim and smoke.
Throttle control: within two days after purchase (9-5-09), there was erratic control of the engine. Engine sputtered and accelerated without any pressure on the gas pedal and at other times the engine decelerated when pressure was applied to the gas pedal. On 9-9-09, the vehicle was taken to a nissan dealership and the throttle body of the engine was replaced. No incident since the repair. Information only.
I have concerns with nissan vehicles losing power and dying while the vehicle is moving. When consumers take the vehicles in for diagnosis, the computer diagnostics cannot locate the problem. Nissan service dept. Staff give unacceptable responses such as "we couldn't duplicate the problem." all they do is test drive the vehicles but the problem is not easily duplicated as it occurs randomly.
I won a nissan armada 2010 and in 2017. Driving to work in the highway, I noticed a ratlling sound coming from the overhead console: the plastic latches are braking. In the next few days, the console failled down in the back seat but was stil hanging up by the wirings. I brougth my vehicle to the dealership where I do my oil change regulary for repair or replacement, they ask me $1000.00 for diagnostic of the problem and without it, they can not do the repair.
