Tl* the contact owned a 2005 nissan murano. While driving 25 MPH, the contact rear ended the preceding vehicle. The driver side air bag failed to deploy and the seat belts failed to restrain the driver. As a result, the contact sustained chest and knee injuries that required medical attention. The passenger sustained neck, knee, shoulder, and right wrist injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to an independent lot. The vehicle was destroyed.
The air bag light is flashing. I read on line that this is very common and has been reported as a faulty switch. I would like to have this repaired for safety reasons. As I understand it nissan is aware. Please advise.
