Tl* the contact owned a 2012 nissan murano. While driving at an unknown speed and attempting to engage the brakes, the brake pedal sank to the floor and failed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician stated that the vehicle was working up to specifications. The second time the failure recurred, another vehicle crashed into the passenger side of the contact's vehicle. The driver side air bag failed to deploy. The contact sustained fractures to the ribs and ankle.
My 2012 nissan murano has approx 119,000 miles on it. The passenger side air bag light stays on indicating that the airbag is off, even when there is someone in the passenger's seat, even when it's a full grown adult. In addition, I have a flashing red airbag light on my dash as well. After a couple weeks of this, I took my vehicle to the dealer as listed in the manual. They said the sensor went out and the entire seat cushion for the passenger side would need to be replaced at a cost of ~$5300.
