Sliding doors on both sides of 2004 nissan quest have at times [5], failed to stay open,and attempted to crush persons in door area. There is apparently no safety feature built into system.

August 2007 Injury

I recently purchased a 2004 nissan quest, one week after ownership the passenger side power door began and has continued to rattle, the van has been to the dealership with no positive results, the dealer states that there is "no fix" for the problem yet althought they acknowledge the problem exists, more seriously, three times the van has failed to shift properly, upon a dead stop the van is stuck in a high gear 3rd, 4th, or overdrive.
