Stationary in a left hand turn lane of a side street off a state highway, (pulling a boat trailer). Oncoming vehicle drifted across center line and impacted head on, off the center line of the hood towards the drivers side of my vehicle. Other vehicle appeared to by moving at approximately 30 MPH at impact. Neither drivers or passenger side airbag deployed. Passenger seat was occupied. Other driver attempted to swerve at last second, did not appear to brake.

Reported at 81,000 miles, July 2016 CrashInjury

The titan was traveling straight on city street and hit another vehicle making a left turn across intersection. Impact was at approximately 45 MPH and both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Driver airbag did not deploy, but there was white smoke and smell of gun powder inside the truck just after collision. No visual signs of any airbags deployed. No other verification, but seems possible a charge ignited but failed to inflate a bag or other failure.

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 nissan titan. He stated that while driving 45 MPH he crashed into two vehicles. The contact attempted to engage the brake pedal; however, the brakes failed and caused a front end collision. The air bags did not deploy and the seat belts did not latch. The contact sustained major injuries to his head, arms and legs from the front windshield. The police was notified and an incident report is available.

Reported at 31,000 miles, August 2009 CrashInjury

2008 titan shift gear not responding, will not allow me to engage to lower gears (1-4). Stays on d only. The gear shifter button will not respond when the button is pressed. According to other titan owners it appears to be a wiring harness as they have indicated the same problem, the wire breaks due to not enough slack in the wiring harness. Nissan service center stated that they will not honor the transmission warranty since I have 64000k miles on the vehicle.

Reported at 64,001 miles, January 2012

I have had over a dozen instances while applying the brakes the break peddle would push to the floor and you would hear a loud noise as if the ABS braking system was failing. You could feel it in the brake pedal and it frightens the heck out of you. I have taken it into my local premier nissan in metairie, la and had the service department look at it, but they could not duplicate the problem and informed they could not help.
