2015 Ram 1500 engine problems

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH on the highway, smoke was noticed inside of the vehicle. The contact pulled over and exited the vehicle with the passenger. The driver and the passenger sustained sore throat and eye irritation due to the smoke but it was unknown if medical attention was required. The smoke eventually cleared and the vehicle was towed to the dealer (randy marion chrysler dodge jeep ram located at 2000 us-421, wilkesboro, nc 28697).

After completing the approved emissions modification, per the fca-EPA lawsuit settlement, I've noticed substantial turbo lag and shifting issues (holding gear too long). This is particularly dangerous when pulling out onto streets or expressways where I need to accelerate up to speed quickly. There is a 3-5 second lag before the turbo begins spooling and my truck begins accelerating.
