2019 Ram 2500 engine problems

Tl* the contact owned a 2019 dodge ram 2500. The contact stated that while driving smoke suddenly came from under the hood and the vehicle immediately stopped accelerating. The contact was able to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher and water. The contact stated that her and her spouse was burnt on their hands and later seeked medical attention for smoke inhalation. The fire department along with the police department contacted however, the fire was already extinguished by time they reached the scene.

This safety recall occurred in january 2020 and I received notice from dodge ram (chrysler). I have called dealers in st george and las vegas who have told me the same: they only get a few parts per week or two to fix the problem and placed me on the dealers "waiting list."
