I have a friend who had a 2006 toyota tundra that was involved in a serious accident. The trucked rolled over from front to back and coming to a rest on all 4 wheels. The side impact air bags deployed but the fronts did not. The vehicles dashboard was blow apart upon impact and the front end is completely smashed in.
My husband and I purchased a 2006 toyota tundra access cab on 11/25/06 at toyota of fort worth texas . Less than 6 days later, we were driving home on a street that leads to our house, less than a mile, we have been traveling this road for at least 15 years. It was slightly raining, we approached the curve to the left on this road.
I am being denied use of my 2006 toyota tundra due to the extended delay in replacing the passenger air bag because there is no other safe place my wife can sit in the vehicle. So I can only use it by myself for short trips to the store. For longer trips I have to make use of another vehicle and rent a trailer if I have to move any items, that we need to do on a regular basis.
First complaint was in motion came to a signal light started applying brakes to stop came to stop briefly as I was pushing brake pedal could feel grinding like under pedal and truck began to move forward while holding brake then continued to pump brake several times to try and stop it because it was moving me and my children into moving traffic intersection.. This issue has happened on a few occastions second complaint.
