What owners wrote

My wife was driving her 2007 VW jetta when she was t-boned from a GMC SUV, approx. Speed of GMC was 40 MPH and approx speed of jetta was 45 MPH. The jetta was struck at a 90 degree angle directly into the drivers side door. The impact was enough that my wife needed to be removed from her car with the jaws of life. The steering column airbag deployed however the multiple side and lumbar airbags did not deploy. Had these deployed her injures would had been much less severe.

On july of 2013, the vehicle was taken in to open road VW after reaching out to NHTSA and VW of amercia for assistance with getting the car repaired due to the warranty being expired. The vehicle had a safety issue with the airbags that would have impaired the airbag from deploying if involved in an accident. VW repaired the vehicle at no charge. On sept of 2014 in the early morning the air fault indicator came on again. I immediately contacted open road VW and explained the recurring issue.
