"takata recall" I was driving east bound on arlington blvd in virginia and proceeded to stop on a yellow light when a car driving over 55 MPH hit my 2002 volvo from the rear and my vehicle spun out of control and hit another car front/side from the west bound intersection in the 3rd lane coming the opposite side and all cars was total. My seatbelt and airbag didn't save me from going forward or deploying.
Problem - sidewall bubbling on tires within the first 5-1/2 months of owning my new volvo station wagon, I had to replace 2 pirelli tires due to sidewall bubbling. 5 months later, with 12,000 miles on the car, one of those brand new tires has to be replaced again due to the same issue. My main complaint is that volvo recommended these tires to me despite the fact that I indicated that I live in redding, ct, primarily drive on back roads, and that my main reason for buying the car was safety.
Tl* the contact owns a 2002 volvo v70. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed a strong fuel odor. The failure recurred multiple times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had failed, was leaking, and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 09v483000 (fuel system, gasoline).
