Purchased 2003 cadillac dhs from coast cadillac, the next month we had to get a new engine from rancho motors. Less than a year after that we had to get a new computer. My husband had a car accident on july 4, 2009 where he hit another vehicle, air bags did not deploy. Aaa adjuster came to diamond car collision in hesperia and stated the car was not totaled. I requested a second opinion and they said they could not total the vehicle.

Reported at 96,000 miles, July 2009 CrashInjury

Upon two different accidents, drivers airbag did not deploy, dealer said nothing was wrong during 1st accident, have not check for second accident. Tt

November 1993 CrashInjury

While driving, engine cut off several times, suddenly noticed smoke under hood, then vehicle caught on fire, for no apparent reason.

Fire

There exists a design flaw in the cadillac deville's. Mine is a 1993 model but I have been told by the dealer that it is a consistent flaw within the deville line. It requires the replacement of the oil pan, oil gaskets, and oil seals anywhere from 2 to 3 years. I had mine replaced five times in ten years. Besides the cost, the potential for damage to the engine and possibility for the car to create damage to others is beyond measure.

Reported at 111,234 miles, September 2003

I just came off I70 when I was making a right hand turn==the washers holding the cradle mounts on the rear of the cradle pulled thrpugh the cradle itself rendering the engine tranny assembly on the ground the steering pulled out of its sleeve and had no steering the exhaust pipe also separated due to the drooping of the cradle on the ground.
