What owners wrote

The spare tire fell off of my 2000 chevrolet 1500 pickup truck and rolled into a school bus. These tires are secured underthe rear of the truck by the same type of cable that was involved in the on going tail gate cable recall. All chev and GMC pickups have these defective cables holding the spares tire and they all are eventually going to fail .

Reported at 81,989 miles, September 2007 CrashInjury

Farm broke on the drivers side and is cracked on the passenger side. This truck has not been involved in a collision. This was discovered by a repair shops when I was having a flat tire fixed.
