My father recently died as a result of injuries suffered in a one vehicle accident. He was driving his 2000 chevrolet c1500 pickup truck. He indicated that the throttle on his truck stuck and he could not stop the vehicle. As a result, he ran off the road, hit a tree totaling the vehicle.
Fatal collision occurred on 8/20/15 on sr 126e in lane county, oregon. Vehicle drifted off roadway and sustained frontal impact with large tree resulting in engine fire. This is the third of three chev silverados that have been involved in frontal impacts this year that has resulted in a fire
Tl*the contact owns a 2000 chevrolet silverado 1500. The contact noticed that when traveling at lows speeds the anti-lock brake system would activate suddenly, making it difficult to idle the vehicle. The contact did not inform his local dealer; however, the manufacturer advised the contact that due to the age and mileage, there was nothing that they could do. No repairs were performed. The failure mileage was 115,000.
When going the speed limit the truck seems to want to cross over lanes just by crossing a dip. It feels floaty on the road another words it doesn't want to stay in its own lane
