Brand new less then a month old 2024 Pacifica hybrid. I had multiple check engine lights without codes and then on 22nd of Feb out of nowhere Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon warning in the middle of the highway at 9:00pm at night. I made in over one lane and the vehicle shut off. Took it to the shop and now having the PIM repaired but they can not get the part.
•What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine shut off and I lost the ability to accelerate. The issue only resolved when I turned off the vehicle and opened my car door while on the highway and had oncoming cars driving next to me at 55+ MPH. After shutting the car door and turning the vehicle back on, I was able to continue to drive home. The check engine light remains on while the vehicle is powered on, now.

After restarting the vehicle and proceeding to drive up the hill, the failure occurred. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.

The contact stated that on several occasions while the vehicle was stopped, the gear selector was twisted to select a different gear; however, the response was significantly delayed, or failed to shift into gear as intended. The contact stated that after approximately two attempts, or after waiting for several seconds, the transmission would shift into the intended gear. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired.
