What owners wrote
My wife was driving the vehicle when she smelled a burning odor. She looked behind her and saw flames coming out of the right rear side panel next to the third seat. She pulled over and called 911. The police and fire dept. Came and put out the fire. The fire dept. Said it appeared to be caused by an electrical short. My insurance company, new jersey manufacturers insurance co., declared the car a total loss and took it.
Repeatedly the entire instrument panel goes dead-no speedometer, odometer, or other gauges visible, also the gearshift indicator lights go dead. Have replaced entire computer at high expense, then had recurrence of problem. Have taken van to dodge dealer but were unable to isolate problem. On dodge forum this is a recurrent defect in these cars-see link [link removed]
