What owners wrote
01 june 2015 driving on interstate 10 from beaumont texas I entered a heavy rain storm, traffic slowed down to about 50 m.p.h. In a 70 m.p.h. Speed zone. I passed a tractor trailer, when the mist from the truck and the rain hit my vehicle, my engine lost power. I removed my foot from the gas, after a few hundred yards the power came back but my engine light was on.
Engine stalls out at freeway speeds and produces a p2112 code throttle body stuck closed. Engine cuts out completely. Has happened five times. Mileage 55234 only. Engine restarts normally until next incident. Car produced at louisville kentucky truck plant which produced the defective electronic throttle bodies included in the ford recall campaign 16b32.
