Ive had to replace the steering gear box,the clutch,and two altenators in which one ended in a fire which cost a considerable about of damage,the parts store had told me that ford was having this problem in the electrical system and I would like to know why the consumer wasn't notified of this ,in the end results it almost burned my vehicle up.
The steering box shaft had pitted and the seal came out which caused the power steering fluid leaked out of vehicle. The consumer had a new sector shaft and seal installed then two years later the seal went out again. The consumer asked the technician why this continued to happen and the explanation he received was that it had to do with the design.
