What owners wrote
While swerving to avoid someone coming over on me, my sector shaft sheared in half. I could turn my steering wheel, but the tires wouldn't move.
While pulling onto the freeway this morning in rush hour traffic, the left tie rod on my 2000 f150 came apart, making it impossible to steer the vehicle. I was afraid for my life. The vehicle had just 78,670 miles on it and is used mainly by me to drive to work. On aug. 16, 2004, with just 55,849 miles, I had to have the right and left lower ball joints replaced, which the mechanic warned me were on the verge of total failure.
