What owners wrote

Tl* the contact owned a 2013 ford fusion. While driving 5 MPH, another vehicle slightly struck the driver side bumper of the contact's vehicle. The air bags failed to deploy. Twenty minutes later, a popping sound emitted from inside the steering wheel and smoke appeared from the dashboard. The vehicle shut off independently and the contact hastily exited the vehicle. The fire department was contacted and the firefighters had to rip apart the entire dashboard in order to extinguish the fire.

Reported at 15,000 miles, November 2014 CrashFire

On multiple occasions, driving at speeds over 60MPH for more than 50 miles, causes a system alert that says steering assist fault and the power steering goes out. The first time I was able to pull over before the power steering went out. The next time, my boyfriend was driving and he had to veer onto the shoulder. Most recently, my grandmother drove my car to the airport and was unable to get the vehicle out of traffic turning into the airport as she was not strong enough to maneuver the car into the parking lot.
