The contact owned a 2007 GMC Acadia. The contact stated while driving 10 MPH, she heard an abnormal noise and the AC vent started to blow out hot air. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that she parked at a nearby store parking lot and she saw fire at two different locations. The contact stated she was able to enter the store and extinguish the small fire located on the front passenger’s side on the instrument cluster with a gallon of water.
Tl* the contact owned a 2007 GMC acadia. While making a left turn at approximately 5 MPH from a stop sign, a speeding vehicle crashed head-on into the front center of the contact's vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. Both the contact and a minor passenger, seated in the rear behind the driver, sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The contact's vehicle was totaled and was towed to a tow yard. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
Takata recall- on 5-3-18 a car turned into the path of the GMC and the GMC collided with it head on. The other car (2004 toyota camry) had its airbags deployed, but the GMC did not have its airbags deployed. Over $3000 front end damage of GMC (bumper destroyed). Vehicle driver seriously hurt in GMC. Vehicle speed about 35 MPH
My passenger side head light went out on my 2007 GMC acadia. I took it to the dealer it is not under warranty any longer it has 45,000 miles on it. This will be the 3rd time I've needed my head lights to be replaced and they tell me that the harness is melted. From reading online I seem to not be the only one with this same issue. The dealer told me they will have to let me know how much it will cost to replace.
Our 2007 GMC acadia began slipping and stutter stepping in reverse. If on a hill it was very noticeable and felt like you were slipping on ice before reverse gear would engage. Then on slow acceleration form a traffic light slippage would occur and a rough change in the gear exchange for normal traffic speed. Had it diagnosed at a reputable local repair shop and they said it was a warped wave plate and a new or rebuilt transmission was required, the repair cost with warranty would be 4,225.00.
