We had a head on collision on 4/26/23. The other at fault vehicle airbags did in fact deploy and we believe ours should have also deployed but Didn’t. We have dash cam footage to see the impact and at that speed, one would anticipate airbags deploying.
My husband and I were in a very serious car accident and I'm concerned because our air bags did not deploy. We were traveling on a diagonal street in chicago and he was going straight. My right front fender hit his right front fender. His air bags deployed but ours did not. The er told me it was likely I hit the steering wheel and it could take up to nine months to heal from having whiplash in my shoulders and neck. My husband has been diagnosed as having a contusion.
A "shift to park" message shows up after I have already put my vehicle in park which does not allow me to turn my vehicle off completely. I have 53,500 miles on my acadia and had to have a new battery put in last week. A GMC dealership states the part to fix the shift lever is on back order but that they have heard this is a common issue with the 2017 acadia. It is frustrating that GMC is aware there is an issue and that there has been a lawsuit filed regarding this however there has not been a recall issued.
The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the A/C system became inoperable. Additionally, the engine fan activated and remained activated even after the vehicle was turned off. The contact stated that the failure had recurred while driving. The contact related the failure to GM Special Coverage Number: N252508350 (Engine Coolant Thermostat). The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but was not yet diagnosed or repaired.
