2007 Honda Civic transmission problems

I have a 2007 honda civic si coupe. This is not my first manual vehicle. I have had trouble shifting into 3rd but did not think anything of it. Just four days ago my car would not shift at all. I had it towed to the honda dealership and was told that my clutch in a year old car was burned out. They claim that it was not a manufacturers defect so in other words, it is my fault. Upon doing research I see that many others are or have experienced the same problem.

With less than 6,500 miles, the civic si continues to grind on 3rd gear on a day to day basis. Today february 17th 2008, while shifting at higher rpm's, 2nd gear refuses to engage which caused the gear to grind atrociously. Several complaints have been filed and owners are have yet to be contacted with information regarding this. This transmission problem causes the car to slow down excessively while shifting problem is occurring and is a safety hazard for myself and driver behind me.
