2005 Honda Odyssey electrical system problems

My was driving home from picking up my three children from school when she smelled smoke coming from the air vents. She checked the radiator gauge thinking it was the radiator but the temp was normal. She pulled off the road on the side street when she got out she saw fire drip down from under the car thank god she got the children and herself out. She called 911 and the fire truck put the fire out.the 2005 honda odyssey van is totaled.

Failure of high beam, running lights, directional signals, power door looks, intemittent wipers. Failed safety inspection. Mechanic worked all day could find the problem. I drove it home. A couple of days later it was working. I brought it back to get a inspection sticker. All good. Worked for about a week then stopped working. I realilized the only difference was that outside temperature. It failed in the cold. I ran the heater in the car for about an hour on max heat. Still no good.
