Got into vehicle and started it up. Put into reverse and the engine revved up and shot backwards very fast. While applying pressure to the brake it had no effect until slamming into the house that was across the street.
My 2001 honda passport was recalled for a lower trailing link front brackets. After inspection it was the worst frame rust that they have ever seen. Too dangerous to drive and could cause a crash. Waiting for a response from honda. I still have 2 more years on this loan for this car and have nothing to drive to look for work. I still have to pay on a car I will never be able to drive again. I have found out that honda is offering other very low pay off amounts for these vehicles.
Tl* the contact owns a 2001 honda passport. When the vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for an oil change, the technician noted that the entire frame underneath the vehicle was rusted. The technician stated that the failure, if not remedied, would cause the fuel tank to detach from the vehicle. The contact stated that the service engine light was illuminated.
