What owners wrote

While sitting at a stoplight, on two (2) occasions my 2008 jeep grand cherokee 4x4 suddenly accelerated on its own while my foot was on the brake and revved up (throttle surge), then the tach went back to normal, and the engine went back to idling. Took it to the dealer I bought it from, they checked the on-board computer and no incident showed; they told me they called chrysler but no one has reported this before and no technical bulletin has been issued regarding throttle surge issues.

So the starter has been a issue ever since I bought the car from my father 2 years ago. The key seems to be the problem since I got the starter rebuilt. It just doesn't start and will turn off at times for no apparent reason which would scare everyone in the car. I was wondering if there is a recall because there should be.
