Tl* the contact owns a 2015 jeep renegade. While at a stop light, another vehicle rear ended the contact's vehicle. The driver side seat belt failed to retract. In addition, there was white smoke coming from the engine, which caused the vehicle to stall. A police report was filed. The air bags did not deploy. The contact sustained chest injuries and whiplash that required medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the seat belt needed to be replaced.
While on the highway my vehicle decreased speed, and I was unable to pick up speed abnormally. While pushing on the gas, it gave a "neutral feel" as if I were on neutral. My vehicle has not been recalled for the similar recall NHTSA reference: #16v545000
I stopped at a red light, when the traffic lights turned green I pressed my gas petal but the vehicle started to slow down & wouldn't move, my engine light came up & so did my brake, airbag & park light. I was stuck in park for a couple of minutes, after waiting my car started back to normal, but this problem continues.
