In the event of my frontal collision, my patellar tendon on my right leg was ruptured after my knee impacted the plastic steering column cover which houses the windsheild wiper switch, igntion switch (push-to-start), and turn signal multifunction lever. My injury required surgery to repair my ruptured tendon. This trim piece did not shatter nor did it protect my knee during impact which caused my trauma and now debilitating condition.
